REFUND POLICY

The Cavendish-Hale Press · 30-Day Gentleman's Guarantee

OVERVIEW

We stand behind every volume we publish. If, within thirty days of acquisition, the library has not served you, you may request a full refund — by correspondence, on a gentleman's word.

This policy applies to all digital editions purchased directly through siredmundhale.com.

ELIGIBILITY: THE THREE REQUIREMENTS

A refund request must include the following three matters in writing:

1. Which volume you read. Tell us which volume of your edition you read most carefully — the one by which you formed your judgement of the whole.

2. Which principle you attempted. Tell us which rule, principle, or action from the volume you attempted to put into practice, and over what period of time.

3. Where it failed you. Tell us, plainly, where the principle did not bear fruit in your circumstances.

These conditions exist to protect the integrity of the press and to ensure honest engagement with the volumes. We do not require formal language — a few short paragraphs in plain English is sufficient.

HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

Send your written request to contact@siredmundhale.com with the subject line "Refund request." Include your order number from the confirmation email.

We acknowledge every request within two business days. If your letter meets the three conditions above, we proceed with the refund without further question.

TIMELINE

  • Day 0: Acquisition. The thirty-day window begins.
  • Days 1–30: Read the volumes, attempt the principles, form your judgement.
  • By Day 30: Submit your written refund request, if applicable.
  • Within 2 business days: We acknowledge and, if approved, issue the refund.
  • Within 10 business days: Your bank or card issuer displays the returned payment.

The processing time on the bank's end is outside our control.

CIRCUMSTANCES NOT COVERED

The following requests fall outside this guarantee:

  • Requests submitted after the thirty-day window from the date of acquisition.
  • Requests that do not meet the three conditions outlined above (specifically: vague or unsupported dissatisfaction).
  • Repeat requests from the same household. A reader who has previously received a refund and re-acquired the library has waived this guarantee.
  • Bulk acquisitions of three or more editions, which are governed by separate correspondence prior to purchase.
  • Payment disputes (chargebacks) filed without prior written request to us. We require correspondence before any dispute. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us forfeits the guarantee.

DIGITAL DELIVERY

Because all editions are digital and delivered instantly, we cannot retrieve "returned" content. By accepting a refund, you agree to discontinue use of all materials and to delete any downloaded files. We rely on your word as a gentleman in this matter.
